Why Nurses Should Attend

CommHIT and First There First Care are joining forces to host the Mobile Integrated Health Partner Lab, June 1–3 in sunny Fort Lauderdale. You are invited!

Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) is now a statewide priority in Florida, bringing healthcare directly to where people live, work, learn, and gather. Clinical and preventive services are delivered in homes and communities, supported by real‑time data sharing with health systems. MIH teams blend Fire Rescue, care coordinators, nurses, and other professionals to provide medical, behavioral, and social support through mobile teams and connected technologies.

Today, nearly every Florida county has an MIH program—about 90 in total—and the field is expanding quickly.

 At the Partner Lab, you’ll explore how MIH programs grow, how nurses shape them, and how care is delivered across settings: 

In patient homes

In community environments

Through remote patient monitoring and connected devices
nurses

Florida’s Health Information Exchange—the secure statewide network that ensures the right information is available at the right time—is now digitally connecting MIH programs. Field teams can view patient histories, reconcile medications in real time, and close care gaps for residents and visitors. Nurses are central to this evolution.

Tips:

- During registration, you’ll be asked what type of health professional you are and for your license number. If you are not a licensed professional, select “Other” and enter “N/A” in the license fields.
